BIOGRAPHY OF DR. GARLY SAINT CROIX:

Dr. Saint Croix is a board-certified interventional cardiologist who practices general and interventional cardiology. He performs percutaneous cardiac and vascular interventions at AdventHealth and Halifax Medical Center in Volusia County, Florida.

Dr. Saint Croix was born and raised in Haiti. He received a full scholarship for his medical school from the Haitian Government after being selected top 100 from over 5000 applicants. He then graduated Suma Cum Laude (valedictorian) from Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the State University of Haiti in 2015. He was a visiting medical student and a summer research fellow at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota where he published and orally presented research related to cardiopulmonary disease. He moved to the US for his specialty in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami where he was intern and resident of the month. He then pursued a career in cardiology fellowship and graduated in June 2022 at Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida which is in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide. Subsequently, he went to New York City where he completed his interventional cardiology training in June 2023 at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein Medical Center, the best heart transplant program in 2024 according to the US News Annual Report. Since then, he has been practicing cardiology in Volusia County, Florida. Dr Saint Croix is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear medicine and vascular ultrasound interpretation.

Dr. Saint Croix performs heart catheterization, regular and complex percutaneous coronary intervention, structural heart intervention (evaluation and treatment for severe aortic stenosis, mitral valve regurgitation, mitral stenosis, tricuspid regurgitation), mechanical pulmonary/vein thrombectomy and vascular intervention for peripheral artery and venous disease.

Dr. Saint Croix provides a comprehensive, detailed, patient-centered cardiac care which has made him very successful, well-known with an excellent reputation from the patients in his community in New Smyrna Beach.

He is currently a professor of cardiology and EKG (electrocardiogram) at his Alma mater, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the State University of Haiti. He is also an assistant professor of Medicine at the School of Medicine of Florida State University. He frequently has medical students and residents rotating with him given his passion for teaching.

Dr. Saint Croix has a deep faith in the power of God. He enjoys giving back to the community where he has a monthly free cardiology clinic for the underserved population. He is an avid fan of soccer, basketball, tennis and likes spending quality time with family (his wife and 3 kids) and friends. He received an award of top 20 under 40 for year 2024 from the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce for his career achievements and dedication to the community.
